Monica Sheehan
Project Director
With enthusiasm we bring “Please Hold” Mentor Project to LA Teens so they may create and produce The Score of LA.
I have experienced many times the transformative power of this mentor project structure while working with The Virginia Avenue Project (VAP) & Santa Monica PAL. For almost 2 decades we witnessed in our Youth Participants “insecurity” that becomes Confidence, “worthlessness” that becomes Self Awareness and “fear” turning into Purpose.
100% of the Youth that participated in VAP programs graduated High School and 96% went on to be the
1st in their Family to attend Higher Education.
There is no greater purpose for me then to actively, creatively contribute to the mental health and well being of our Future Community Leaders. My years in Film & TV Production, my continued commitment working with Youth who struggle with mental health challenges and my organizational acumen to get what needs to be done… Done, is an asset for Producing “Please Hold”and a privilege for me.
